At CrossRoads, we offer fitness opportunities to assist people in taking care of their bodies, whether just starting out or advanced athletes. Currently, we have the following exercise classes (which all meet at the church):
BootCamp Fitness (taught by Jessica Grigar)
- Meets Monday Nights at 7 pm (one hour class).
- An intermediate fitness class.
- Open to people of all fitness levels (from beginner to advanced).
- Bring water and a set of 5lb dumbells.
- Jessica is a Certified Fitness Instructor, and has been teaching fitness classes since 2006.
Stretching & Strengthening (taught by Julie Thorne)
- We offer 2 “Stretching & Strengthening” classes every week. Attend both or whichever one best fits your schedule.
- Wednesday mornings at 8:30 am (one hour class)
- Friday mornings at 5:30 am (one hour class)
- A class designed to help with flexibility and strength building that combines the fitness principles of Yoga and Pilates as well as those of general fitness.
- Open to those of all fitness levels (from beginner to advanced).
- Bring a yoga/pilates mat or a large towel.
- Julie is a Certified Fitness Instructor, and has been teaching fitness classes since 1993.
Extreme Fitness (video led)
- Meets Wednesday evenings at 9 pm (one hour class) and Thursday evenings at 7.30 pm.
- A high-intensity workout (not recommended for those just beginning an exercise regimen).
- Bring a towel and a water bottle.
All classes are offered free of charge (if you are able, we ask that you donate to help offset the costs). Classes do require that a liability waiver be completed before taking the class.
