Pastoral Assistant & Women’s Ministry Coordinator
I was born and raised in Texas, and have lived in Arlington since I was 3 years old. My parents came to know Christ when I was a toddler, and they began making God a part of my life in every way possible. Starting from when I was very young, they read me Bible stories, taught me about God, and we sang songs about Jesus. When I was only 5 years old, I truly had gained an understanding of who Jesus was, and one night I called my parents into my room to ask them ‘how to get to Heaven.’ After a long talk, my parents lead me to the Lord. Even though I was young, I still clearly remember that night, and Christ has been a part of my life every since! I have always been involved in church. I also grew up in a local private school where I not only made wonderful memories, but grew a great deal spiritually as the years went by. I later made the transition to a public high school, and I graduated from Lamar in 1997.
When I was just 16 years-old I met my future husband, Scott Brown. Although we were both young, I was impressed with his high morals and strong values, and we were drawn to each other almost instantly. After two years of dating, we married in 1999. There was never a doubt that Scott was hand-picked for me! We were blessed with our first child, Garrett, in 2002 and our second son, Ayden, came just 22 months later! We also have a 3rd child in Heaven whom we have yet to meet. I thank the Lord for every hardship we’ve endured, because each one has drawn us closer to Him. My husband and I went through a very difficult time in early 2009. The people of CrossRoads played a huge role in walking alongside us down the road of healing and restoration – something that makes me immensely proud of our church family and love them all the more! I’m grateful for our experiences, as well as the opportunity to share God’s miracles to give others hope. Scott & I are best friends, stronger than ever, and after all these years of marriage we still love “hanging out” together.
Throughout the week we enjoy craft nights and playing games with our boys. I love to laugh (a lot!) I enjoy decorating, singing, scrapbooking, and hunting for garage sale “treasures” on the weekends. In my spare time I do nail art for girls’ birthday parties, and occasionally am hired to coordinate weddings.
I have been working for CrossRoads since early 2005. Aside from being the Pastors’ Assistant, I am also the Women’s Ministry Coordinator and serve on the Worship Team. I thoroughly enjoy being a part of CrossRoads’ staff, and hope I get the chance to meet you someday!
