Assistant Pastor – Adult Ministries
I was born in San Antonio, Texas and lived in various parts of San Antonio, Seguin, and Austin. To say we moved a lot while growing up would be an understatement.
Called to the ministry in 1988, just one year after my high school graduation, I then attended Hardin-Simmons University, where I graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Bible in 1992. Afterwards, I spent a few years working towards- but never completed- a Master of Arts in Religion at Hardin-Simmons University. While in Abilene, I served part-time on the staff of a couple of different churches.
From 1997 to 2008, I worked in the financial services industry, doing everything from trading to Operations Manager to Chief Compliance Officer. During that time, I served as a volunteer in a variety of roles at church. We began attending CrossRoads in 2002.
In 2008, I accepted the call to become an assistant pastor at CrossRoads. I am looking forward to serving at CrossRoads. My aim will be to help adults find a place where they can connect with others, be served, and serve others.
I met the most important person in my life, Angela, in 1989, and we married in 1992, just two weeks after graduating from college. We welcomed our son, Samuel, into our family in 2005.
When not working or hanging with the family, I like to ride my bicycle, think about cycling, read about cycling, and watch cycling. And I like to cook.
