Chris Dikes

Assistant Pastor – Adult Ministries

I was born in San Antonio, Texas and lived in various parts of San Antonio, Seguin, and Austin.  To say we moved a lot while growing up would be an understatement.

I graduated from Hardin-Simmons University in 1992 with a Bachelor of Arts.  During my time in Abilene, I served as pastor at Eolian Church, Lakeside Baptist Church, and Wilmeth Baptist Church.

We moved to Arlington in 1995 and I began working in the financial services industry.  We began attending CrossRoads in 2003.

In 2008, I accepted the an offer from CrossRoads to become an Associate Pastor.

I met the most important person in my life, Angela, in 1989, and we married in 1992, just two weeks after graduating from college.  We welcomed our son, Samuel, into our family in 2005.

In January 2012, I published my first book, The Accident:  A Bike, A Truck, and A Train, about my other interest, cycling.  The book details my struggle to overcome the fears associated with being hit by a truck on August 11, 2009.  The Accident is available at Amazon.com in paperback and electronic versions.
